Events and Exhibitions

– Upcoming and Recent Events –

Three of my paintings were on display during the  Fall Art Show at The Galleria of Mt. Lebanon.  There were  exhibits for several local art groups, which made it a great chance to meet and enjoy the work of other local artists.

I was honored to be invited to exhibit & sell my art at a fundraiser for Scenic Pittsburgh.   This took place at the LeMont Restaurant on Mount Washington.  As someone who is continually inspired by the views around Pittsburgh, I’m grateful for their efforts to preserve our city’s beauty.       http://www.scenicpittsburgh.org

It was exciting to have one of my original paintings as part of a fundraising event for the Little Lake Theatre Company in Canonsburg, PA.   Visit their website for information.  http://www.littlelake.org/

While most of my recent sales are occurring directly from my studio, a few original paintings as well as reproductions were exhibited and sold through a beautiful gallery and cultural gifts store called Robin’s Nest.  They sell an incredible selection of handcrafted works from local artisans. The store is located at 5504 Penn Avenue near the Pittsburgh Glass Center.   http://robinsnestpittsburgh.com/

In The Studio

I am now continuing a series of Pittsburgh-related works called “Following the Light.” There’s a night theme emerging.

Past Events

Three of my paintings were selected and sold as part of Art on the Walls, a rotating exhibition program organized by the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council. Thank you to Allegheny Conference and GPAC for this opportunity!

It was an honor to have my artwork exhibited in the entrance of the Mt. Lebanon Public Library. I got some great responses and sold a few reproductions as a result of this exposure.

I participated in Plein Air Mt. Lebanon’s “Paint Out” event in which artists take to the streets and have 2 hours to complete a painting start to finish.  The sidewalks are full of people, which could be a lot of fun. My process is definitely not designed for speed so this was a definite learning experience. Until I make a habit of working outside the studio, events like this will be more stress than enjoyment. There’s an artistic development goal in there somewhere.

The perfect venue (Rocking Horse Artspace). I displayed 22 original paintings. The 11 from Jupiter Vinyl’s album were hung along one wall in the order they appear on the CD. The music performances were incredible and I got to meet a lot of great people associated with the musicians.
